◦ Tesla Remote Energy Meter with 200A CT
◦ Required for sites where remote metering is required
◦ Enables accurate whole-site import and export measurement for DNSP compliance and export limitation requirements
◦ Supplied with 1 x 200A split-core current transformer (CT) for mains monitoring
◦ Additional CTs are purchased separately as required
◦ Three CTs are required for full three-phase site monitoring
◦ Communication via built-in WiFi for simplified commissioning
◦ Alternatively supports hardwired R485 communication where a stable wired connection is preferred (RS485 Harness must be purchased separately)
◦ A Tesla Powerwall 3 site can support up to 3 Remote Meters per system, depending on configuration (1x RS485 & 2x WiFi)
◦ A TP-Link Wi-Fi extender can be used to rebroadcast the TeslaPW Wi-Fi network, increasing its range so that the Tesla Remote Meter can pair over the network. Tesla recommends the TP-Link AC1200 RE305 Wi-Fi Range Extender. Other Wi-Fi extenders may work but have not been validated by Tesla for this application.
